Anyone who has been a regular reader at my blog knows how much I love photography and I would one day like to be a good one or even a professional if it so happens. And one of the professional who’s work I have admired many a times is Daboo Ratnani. When I saw some of his latest shots from the 2007 calendar I was impressed – But this news in today’s Sunday Mid-Day disappoints me.
Dabboo Ratnani has unabashedly reproduced an entire setting for his calendar (last time he shot Bipasha Basu on a scooter for his 2005 calendar, straight out of a JLo shoot). For his celeb calendar this year, Ratnani’s picked from the late American fashion photographer Herb Ritts’s collection.
I hope it’s not true and Daboo you could have done better than this sort of inspiration.
