It’s here, actually it was here a week back. My new camera, the Canon Rebel XTi is here and although I haven’t been able to play a lot with it yet I seemed to have started enjoying the SLR experience.
I got my first photo-op at the X’mas eve party we hosted at home. It was a crazy party and I have shared the photos with my flickr friends.
I tried this photo by manually adjusting the ISO to 1600 and I was pretty impressed with what the little setting change did to this no-flash photograph. I am sure it could have been better exposed but I was in kind of a rush to capture the party set-up before the guests walked in.
I seemed to like this photo in particular because it highlights the two subjects nicely and yet seemed to fade out the people in the background. I could be wrong in my perception, let me know.
Looking forward to get more time and opportunities to play with the camera and share my work online.
Hey Kapil,
Nice to know that you have purchased the rebel. I am also thinking of picking up one. Can you tell me how much it costed you? what is the lens config etc you got. Also post your experiences with it if you can.. I am sure few people would like to read it…
Chandoo, my friend bought the camera with a 18-55mm lens kit + 2GB CompactFlash Card + UV filter for a final deal of US$630. I am not sure from where or which website.
Yes, I shall be posting experiences very soon as I play along.
