What you see here, is no new tech toy I bought for myself. It’s the new order taking machine at Cafe Coffee Day. It works on a wi-fi protocol. So basically when he takes the order, the same is beamed back into the kitchen area and they get working on the order right away. This way he does not make to-fro journeys to the kitchen just to deliver the order back there. Saves time and he can take in multiple orders. It also generates a bill, which he can leave at the table once done with the ad.
I had seen something like this or rather read about it many years back about a restaurant in New York adopting this kind of technology. It took some while for it to reach the coffee shop level but hey it did finally. So very cool.
