Starting this year, I have picked up a new habit. Everytime I read a new word for which I don’t know the meaning or I am confused about I make a note in a small black diary and then get online to read up more on the same. As a practice I even try to go back to the original source to re-read the sentence with the new meaning in my head.
I thought it would be a good idea to share the words here:
- triumvirate – an association of three
- adversarial – acting against
- trenchant – Forceful, effective, and vigorous
- visceral – Relating to, situated in, or affecting the viscera
