Photography Assignment: Water Droplets

March 9th, 2008 · Posted in: Photography· 1 Comment

There was nothing planned for the Sunday, so I decided to spend sometime doing a photo assignment I bookmarked long ago – The Patterned Water Drop Shots. Here is one of my favourite results …

photo assignment: water droplets (by kapsi)

You can check out the complete series of photos at my flickr photo set. I did it a little different from what the user has described at DPS.

Drive Mode: Continuous
Shutter Speed: 1/1000
Aperture: 5.6
Focal Length: 55mm
ISO: 1600

I would say the results were strictly ok, I think a non-reflective ceramic bowl would have been a better bet. Also maybe next time I am going to try the slow shutter speed of 1/320 with a flash and see the results.
